We collect the following information when you use Jizoo:
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo, obtained when you sign in with Google.
- Trip data: trips, itinerary items, destinations, dates, and any other content you create or share inside the app.
- Device information: device type and operating system, used only for sending push notifications.
- Push notification token: a unique token generated by your device so we can send you reminders and flight alerts.
- Language preference: your selected app language, used to send notifications in your language.
We do not collect payment information, precise GPS location, contacts, or any sensitive personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To display and sync your trips and itineraries across devices.
- To send you push notifications about upcoming departures, check-ins, check-outs, and flight status changes (delays, cancellations, gate assignments).
- To display your name and photo to other participants of trips you share.
- To improve the app and fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following limited cases:
- With other trip participants: your name and profile photo are visible to people you invite to a shared trip.
- With Google: we use Google Sign-In for authentication. Google's use of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- With Firebase (Google): we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications to Android devices.
- With Expo: we use Expo's push notification service to deliver notifications to web users.
- As required by law: if required by a court order or applicable law.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and trips will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings.
